The Town of Parma is celebrating its 200th birthday!

Events are taking place starting with the Parma Summer Fest, July 2008 and ending in August 2009.

Bicentennial Parade Rescheduled for August 8th, 2009
The parade will be held in conjunction with the "Park It in Parma" Annual Celebration of Aug 7th & 8th. The Parade Route will be held on the grounds of the Town Hall Park.

Commemoration of the First Annual Town Meeting Proclamation of April 4, 1809

Past "Archived" Events

As part of the Parma Bicentennial Celebration, the Parma Town Board commemorated the 200th anniversary of the first Town Board meeting at their April 7th meeting. Homer Marple read and presented a proclamation which included text from the minutes of the first meeting of April 4, 1809.
